The official greeters of Chamber events such as ribbon cuttings , grand openings, and VIP events. To be the visible greetings arm of the Chamber in the business community and strive for membership growth. To communicate with members, on behalf of the Chamber, soliciting feedback and opinions on Chamber services and programs. To combine efforts to foster cooperation among chamber members to provide a vehicle for personal and business networking. Coordinate and organize speakers and topics for our “Networking Breakfasts”. Breakfasts are held every month at the Eagles Nest (Navy Golf Course). Ambassador meetings are held the third Thursday of every month at the Chamber office – 8:30 a.m.
Young men and women who are Chamber members that seek to improve the Los Alamitos community by connecting residents with local businesses. Providing a forum for young professionals to improve their business skills and giving back to the community. They are responsible for monthly mixers in the community, Annual Winter Wonderland Event, assist with Wings Wheels Rotors & Expo event, Small Business Expo, Youth Ambassador Scholarship Program and “We H.I.R.E. Los Al” Scholarship Program. The Young Professionals meet monthly. Mixers are held the third Thursday of every month.
SILVER CUP CHALLENGE GOLF TOURNAMENT
The success of our annual tournament is essential to the continued growth and development of the organization, which supports the community’s businesses, schools and charitable organizations. The Annual Golf Tournament is one of the Chambers largest revenue generating event, and enthusiastic participation is the backbone to the success of this event. Meetings are held at the Chamber office.
LEGISLATIVE COUNTY / STATE / FEDERAL (LACWOC)
To discuss and make recommendations to the Legislators on matters that would have an effect on Chamber members or business in general. Included in their Program of Work is the Annual Legislative Mixer. Meetings are held at 8:30 a.m. the third Friday of every month - RMAC Building on the base. This committee is chaired annually by a Los Alamitos Chamber member.
REGIONAL MILITARY AFFAIRS COMMITTEE (RMAC)
To promote the Joint Forces Training Base with political action, community and business support, government and civic awareness, to ensure the Joint Forces Training Base as a vital public and military asset to the region, state and nation. Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Joint Forces Training Base, Building 15 – 3:30 p.m. This committee is chaired by a Los Alamitos Chamber member.
WINGS, WHEELS, ROTORS AND EXPO
Wings, Wheels, Rotors and Expo is a co-sponsored event between the Chamber and the Joint Forces Training Base. It showcases the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos and features a variety of military aircraft, cars, trucks, war birds and other military aircraft. The event also includes a car show, food vendors, exhibitors, displays, demonstrations, flybys and music. A portion of the proceeds go to the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Fund at the base.
