Army Research In Los Alamitos

A team from the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center at Fort Belvoir, Va., will be conducting a sensor technology project at Los Alamitos Army Airfield (LAAAF) for several weeks beginning June 7th.
The team will be collecting coastal fog data only on nights when fog is most prevalent, at which times it may be necessary to initiate operations during the late night or early morning hours
to accomplish their mission.
Late night or early morning operations are not expected to exceed one hour and will be conducted using one UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter on the LAAAF ramp with its engine operating
or at a low hover. Aircraft will not be operating in the traffic pattern or over any residential areas.
As always, efforts will be taken to minimize inconvenience to our neighbors.
