We're five minutes from Long Beach Airport and less than thirty minutes from both John Wayne/Orange County Airport and Los Angeles International Airport. Approximately ten miles to the west, the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles make traveling to, and doing business in, Los Alamitos even more convenient.
Once here, visitors will find excellent dining and recreational opportunities - including The Original Fish Company and Spaghettini, and all major Southern California attractions. Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, Knotts Berry Farm and the Aquarium of the Pacific are just minutes away. Sports fans can take in a game at Edison Field or Arrowhead Pond - all within easy freeway access. Looking for first class entertainment and big name stars? The Cerritos Performing Arts Center is just the ticket!
Just down the road is Seal Beach, home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Southern California. Soak up the local culture on a stroll through the downtown area, the perfect setting for shopping, dining or people watching.
If you prefer turf to surf, both the Cypress Golf Club and Navy Golf Course offer exceptional courses. The Navy Golf Course is located at the Joint Forces Training Base, a 1,300-acre facility which serves as a reserve training center for all branches of the military, as well as Navy personnel.
Of course, no visit to Los Alamitos would be complete without a day of world-class Quarter Horse racing at Los Alamitos Race Course. Picnics, parties, and corporate activities will find the perfect setting at the 4.5-acre Laurel Park, the 6.0-acre Little Cottonwood Park, or the 1.7-acre Orville R. Lewis Park. All offer passive and active areas including some with lighted fields. There's no shortage of indoor meeting and event space, either! Cypress Golf Course and Los Alamitos Race Course can accommodate small and medium-sized gatherings in exciting settings, while The Grand offers something for everyone - from small conference areas to large-scale weddings and corporate conventions.
Our excellent year round climate, centralized location and commitment to community has brought Los Alamitos the distinction of being home to the USA Water Polo National Aquatic Center, training ground for the United States Women's Olympic Water Polo Team.
We even have our own Museum, featuring the many Los Alamitos citizens who have received national or international recognition in a variety of fields.
